Hard landscaping
Site preparation is absolute key. Our team will help with rubble removal, levelling, hard landscaping, compaction, drainage solutions, irrigation, edging etc.
Installing artificial lawn involves several carefully planned steps to ensure durability,proper drainage, and a natural appearance. The process begins by clearing the area of all existing grass, plants, and debris. A sub-base layer, typically made of crushed rock or decomposed granite, is then added and compacted using a plate compactor to create a stable foundation.
Next, the artificial grass is rolled out and allowed to settle, reducing wrinkles and allowing it to acclimate. The turf is then cut to fit the designated space, ensuring all pieces are aligned with the blades facing the same direction for a consistent look. If multiple sections are used, seams are joined using adhesive and jointing tape. The edges are secured with nails, turf spikes, or landscape staples, and sometimes bordered with timber or bender board for added stability. An infill material, such as silica sand or rubber granules, is often brushed into the turf to help the blades stand upright, improve drainage, and provide cushioning. Finally, the surface is brushed again to lift the fibers and give the lawn a neat, realistic appearance.
